While many of us are familiar with Renaissance painters and Western art we often know far less about the rich diverse heritage of ethnic Indian art and handcrafted traditions.
The Art of Happyness Utsav at Nexus Seawoods is a heartfelt step towards reviving that pride — an immersive journey into India’s history through its traditional art forms. This unique exhibition invites you to explore interactive art installations participate in hands-on workshops and enjoy live performances.
But the Utsav is more than just a cultural showcase. It blends artistry with purpose empowering rural and tribal women by creating meaningful economic opportunities and celebrating their craftsmanship through trendy handcrafted products that resonate with contemporary sensibilities.

Kala Dora is a traditional form of jewelry-making using colorful threads and beads predominantly created by artisans from Rajasthan. The intricate process involves crafting beautiful handcrafted jewelry pieces that carry deep cultural significance with each design narrating its own story.
Join Vishnu Kumar Patwa, an expert in Kala Dora Jewelry Patwa Making, and learn how to craft stunning, intricate pieces from scratch. Discover the techniques behind weaving vibrant threads with beads, creating gorgeous necklaces, bracelets, and more. Gain insight into the cultural heritage of this jewelry-making tradition, which has been passed down through generations.
We use Copper Enamel discs made by the Meenakari artisans in Alibag to make the rakhis. If you wish to make more than one rakhi you can buy the coins on the spot
